When we talk about “mission” we are talking about the vocation of the church for it is what defines our identity and purpose. It is vital that we find time to discern, pray and grow ourselves into a place where living out our mission as Christian communities is the very lifeblood that holds us together.
It is vital that we find space to engage in good conversations about mission matters to encourage each other and to share experiences of what has worked and equally, what didn’t work. The last few months have been difficult in many different ways and the challenges for church mission are going to be very significant in the years to come, so keeping the conversation going is both important and urgent.
As the District Mission Enabler, I want to find all sorts of ways for us to talk and be encouraged and we are getting much better at using the Zoom space to share and talk. So I want to invite you to participate in a new mission initiatives in our District.
On this page, I will be sharing conversations with people from within the District who want to talk about mission, not just so we can listen, but so we can start a conversation. For each filmed conversation there will be a "Zoom" event where you can bring your experience and stories and share them with others in response to the issues raised in the mission conversations. If you would like to join the conversation please email me at and I will send you a Zoom link in advance of the session. I am very much looking forward to sharing in conversation with you.
